Private Hire Party Venues NYC

Big event coming up? Need the perfect venue for hosting a party, team building meeting, or celebration? We’ve got a list of our favorite private hire venues in NYC for any occasion.

Best Activity Venues

Hosting a party based around an activity is rising in popularity, and it’s obvious why – if you’re bringing together a group of guests, it can be hard to break the ice and get them all interacting. Having an activity to bond everyone towards a common goal elevates any awkwardness and gets the party started!

Visit Swingers

Swingers is the perfect spot to hire out for a private party. Whether you’re looking for a birthday blowout, or a more formal meeting space with a fun activity to do for team building, we’ve got it covered.

At the location in NoMad, you can hire an area of the venue to suit your needs.

While there’s plenty to do on the crazy golf courses – with three nine hole courses to explore – the fun doesn’t stop there.

There’s plenty of delicious gourmet street food to get stuck into (included when booking group packages) – Emmy Burger, Tacos Fonda, and Mah Ze Dahr. You won’t have to worry about picky eaters with this selection – there’s something for everyone, and the selection caters to if you just want snacks, dessert, or a full meal.

You’ll be supplied with a caddy dedicated to making your event a success, so you can be assured that the drinks will keep flowing and everyone will be looked after.

With fantastic transport links enabling your guests to travel to and from the venue with ease (a five minute walk from 34th St and a two minute walk from 28th St subway stops), you won’t have to worry about booking transportation or about your guests getting lost on the way to the event.

Pickleball

Pickleball is booming in popularity, mainly because it’s a super accessible sport that doesn’t quite need the skill or agility of tennis.

Because it’s fun and easy, it’s a great option to base a party or event around.

Court 16 is a great option if you’re looking to hire a venue with an activity – when you book your event at Court 16, you’ll be provided with a curated tournament bracket, coaching, and (probably most importantly) racquets!

Best versatile venues

Some events call for flexibility from a venue – you might need to go from a sit-down talk to a clear room for dancing. Below are a few options of some nice venues that can be flexible to different needs.

Soho House

Soho House has a number of different spaces to choose from, suitable for multiple setups. The five spaces vary, from the Vinyl Room’s 100 person capacity, to exclusive access to the Cowshed Spa, to the Club Room – perfect for intimate dinner parties or work meetings, and even a Screening Room for private screenings and presentations.

You’ll have to be a member of Soho House for access to hiring these spaces, so be sure to sign up to a membership before enquiring. Due to Soho House’s prestigious reputation, you can be assured that you’ll have a high quality experience when booking the venue for a private party.

Its location on Central Park makes it an iconic spot to host a private event. You have the option for indoor or outdoor celebrations, as there is a central courtyard and garden terrace, as well as the indoor bar rooms.

Impressive locations

Some events call for the wow-factor. Impress your guests by booking a venue with a historic connection or entrancing decor. Here’s a few of our suggestions.

Rockefeller Center

NYC’s historic complex, the Rockefeller Center is a prime party venue, especially if you’re looking for fantastic views of the city.

There are four rooftop venues in the complex, with landscaped gardens and reflection pools, the perfect outdoor party space to enjoy warmer weather.

Bar SixtyFive is a modern space with floor to ceiling windows for fully accessible views to the city below – including the Empire State Building. It’s a great space to hire for cocktail parties.

The Rainbow Room is high glamor, with gigantic chandeliers, colorful lighting, and large windows through which to see the views of the skyline. With a capacity for up to 350 people, it’s a great option for a large-scale celebration.

Liberty Warehouse

Liberty Warehouse is located on Pier 41, Brooklyn, and is the only location in New York where the Statue of Liberty faces front.

There are three rooms to rent, from the Governor’s Room, with high ceilings and large windows through which you and your guests can see the views of the harbor and the Statue of Liberty, to the Harbor Room with a built in bar area, perfect for a cocktail party, or the Bridge Room for more intimate gatherings – with a small balcony and a wood burning fire.

Best Small Venues

Maybe you’re looking for something a little more understated. If your event only calls for a few guests, there’s little point in paying for a large space that you don’t need. Here’s some smaller venues we’ve found in NYC that would be great options for your smaller event.

Patent Pending

Located in the cellar of the Radio Wave building (known for being Nikola Tesla’s home), Patent Pending is an intimate setting for a small celebration, with room for up to 100 people.

This spot is an upscale speakeasy and cocktail club, available to hire in sections for smaller events for around 12 people, or hire exclusively for slightly larger parties of up to 100 people.

The names of the cocktails served here are inspired by Nikola Tesla, and the entire space is testament to his life’s work. Perfect for science enthusiasts.

The Beekman

This location has six spaces to hire for events, from the turreted penthouse to the cellar named after Eugene Kelly (the building’s first owner) with vaulted ceilings and exposed brick.
