Love is ready to set sail. Experience the colorful spectacle of Rainbows on the Hudson, now in its 21st year. This water-based display is the grand finale to the Seaport Museum’s Pride Month celebrations. Watch over 30 water vessels take to the water while flying the original Pride flags designed by NYC artist Gilbert Baker. Ticket holders can board one of two historic vessels to view this amazing show, with a portion of ticket sales going towards LGBTQIA+ youth organizations. And if you’re not much of a boat person, the procession can also be enjoyed ashore – just grab a spot outside the Seaport Museum before 3 pm to watch the program in all its colorful glory.
Finally, explore New York City’s rich LGBTQIA+ history with a historical walking tour. This family-friendly tour is available throughout the year, but becomes all the more poignant and meaningful during Pride Month.
