As June approaches, New York City is gearing up for Pride. Expect the city to come alive with color, fun and love for the whole month! Celebrations here are for the LGBTQIA+ community and allies alike – the message being, as it always has been, one of unity and inclusivity.
This year, Swingers NYC is getting in on the Pride action too. Throughout June, guests at Swingers NoMad can enjoy exclusive Pride cocktails, unique Pride-themed image projections, and vibrant decorations. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick putt around the green or spending time at the bar, you’ll love making Swingers part of your Pride celebration this year.

1. OutCycling Pride Ride

Join in the OutCycling Pride Ride and pedal your way to fun and fitness this Pride! This year’s event has five different routes to choose from, ranging from 30 to 100 miles – so whether you’re an avid cyclist or a relative novice, this event welcomes folks of various skill levels. Enjoy the vibrant sights of NYC as you take the city by wheel. At the end of the ride, enjoy the festival finish and load up on a delish cookout, right on the scenic shores of the Hudson River. Pop on your Pride swag, put on your helmet and take part in the celebration!
2. Yankees Pride Night
When: Wednesday June 21st Where: Yankee Stadium More info:Yankees Pride Night
Enjoy an evening of baseball and inclusive celebration at Yankees Pride Night! Held at the iconic Yankee Stadium, this year’s event will be its inaugural occurrence. Bringing together sports fans and the LGBTQIA+ community alike – two of NYC’s most populous (and enthusiastic!) groups – this night will honor New York’s long, storied legacy of Pride, culminating in an exciting Yankee-Mariners game. Ticket holders will be treated to an on-field Pride ceremony ahead of the game, Yankee hats in rainbow colors and complimentary hot dogs and drinks. Best of all, a portion of the ticket funds will be donated to NYC Pride initiatives. We’ll meet you on the bleachers.
3. Pride Fest New York
When: Sunday June 25th Where: 4th Avenue, between East 8th Street and East 13th Street. More info:Pride Fest New York
Celebrate the pinnacle of Pride Month at the annual Pride Fest in New York! Immerse yourself in this daytime street fair with incredible music and performances, craft vendors, and scrumptious bites to eat. If you’re in the mood to dance, make your way to Brooklyn Army Terminal for Pride Island, the annual Pride-themed music festival – they’ve even got Christina Aguilera headlining this year! Needless to say, this is where Pride truly comes alive: right in the streets of New York City. And while Pride Island Music Fest is ticketed, the street fair portion is completely free! So join in the festivities, food and fun, all in the name of love and equality.
Love is ready to set sail. Experience the colorful spectacle of Rainbows on the Hudson, now in its 21st year. This water-based display is the grand finale to the Seaport Museum’s Pride Month celebrations. Watch over 30 water vessels take to the water while flying the original Pride flags designed by NYC artist Gilbert Baker. Ticket holders can board one of two historic vessels to view this amazing show, with a portion of ticket sales going towards LGBTQIA+ youth organizations. And if you’re not much of a boat person, the procession can also be enjoyed ashore – just grab a spot outside the Seaport Museum before 3 pm to watch the program in all its colorful glory.
Finally, explore New York City’s rich LGBTQIA+ history with a historical walking tour. This family-friendly tour is available throughout the year, but becomes all the more poignant and meaningful during Pride Month. This tour will take you to significant landmarks, neighborhoods and other sites that have played a pivotal role in NYC’s (and America’s!) LGBTQIA+ history. Attendees will visit locations such as the Stonewall Inn and find out more about the Stonewall Uprising. So put on your walking shoes and get to know New York City’s trailblazers – trust us, you’ll be glad you did.
