Fun Things to Do for London Pride 2023

Pride month is almost upon us, and celebrations are hotting up in the UK’s capital. As you might expect, there’s plenty to get involved with to celebrate and support the LGBTIQA+ community. But where to start? Don’t worry – we’ve combed through the highlights and have some fantastic activities to suggest for your London Pride 2023!

Swingers will be getting in on the celebrations as well. This June, guests can enjoy Swinger’s exclusive Pride Menu, including specialty cocktails designed by bartenders who are part of the LGBTIQA+ community. Why not try a Bitter Queen, a Taste The Rainbow, or a Miami Vice? For every cocktail purchased, we’ll donate money to the Pride Unity Fund. We’ll also be flying our rainbow flags as we proudly march in London’s Pride Parade.

We’d love for you to stop by and make us part of your pride celebration. In that vein, here are some more fun things to do for London Pride 2023. We’ll see you there!

After multiple rounds of competition, the grand final will take place on 27th June at Adelphi Theatre! The talent levels are as high as the stakes, with the winner securing a headline slot on the Trafalgar Square stage during London’s Pride March, as well as a £1000 cash prize. It’s going to be a nailbiter – we can’t wait to see who wins!

3. Screening of Pride (2014)
 Pride 2014 Screening

When: 30th June 2023
Where: London Art Bar
More info: Screening of Pride

Join in for a special screening of this iconic 2014 film at the London Art Bar in Holborn. Pride is inspired by the moving story of the 1984 British miners’ strike and the unexpected support they received from gay and lesbian advocates. Not only can you sit back and enjoy the film, you’ll be making a charitable contribution at the same time – this event will raise funds for the Albert Kennedy Trust, which supports homeless LGBTIQA+ youth. The London Art Bar is conveniently located just a four-minute walk from Holborn Station, so this amazing event is super easy to get to. Don’t forget to bring the popcorn!

4. London’s Annual Pride March

London Annual Pride March

When: 1st July 2023
Where: Starts in Hyde Park Corner
More info: Pride in London

This Pride March is where it all began back in 1972. It’s now one of the UK’s biggest and most diverse LGBTIQA+ celebrations, and is set to be one heck of a party. This year, there will be over 500 groups and 30,000+ participants – enough to fill The Oval stadium! While applications to join the parade are now closed, there’s still space for enthusiastic spectators to cheer the marchers on. For a front-row experience, Grandstand tickets are available, ensuring a close-up view of the parade (and actual seats, useful for accessibility purposes). There are also multiple stages set up along the route for entertainment and commentary, so don’t miss these if you’re following along! Families can also find dedicated areas to stand, and those seeking a quieter pride experience can retreat to quiet zones. In the inclusive spirit of Pride, there really is something for everyone!

5. Pride Summer Boat Party
